Purpose – The main purpose of this study is to reveal whether there a relationship between leadership and employees' job crafting affective commitment, also determine organization-based self-esteem has mediator role perception these variables. Design/methodology/approach Data collected by survey method from total 205 employees municipality in Tokat province were subjected path analysis with Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). Findings results the are based on leader-member exchange, organizational commitment. It reveals that positively affects commitment crafting. original result plays full mediating effect exchange partial its commitment. Discussion In light results, it can be suggested exhibit practices increase for more effective leadership, make employee feel competent fulfilled, take various actions order have self-confidence belief. Some methods offered managers context; Supporting positive feedback, taking into account factors strengthen employee's self - esteem design, opening autonomous areas where personalize success his / her job, or facilitating achieve personal working coordination successful people way -esteem through new successes.
